Figure It In Founder
Ruth Diaz, Psy.D.
Ruth graduated from Pacific University in 2017 with a doctorate in clinical psychology. She took 17 years to complete her higher education partly to due the high value she places on experiential learning. Ruth is also a passionate learner in transformational leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ruth finds leadership at Figure It In to be engaging, and a continued learning experience. "I'm always trying to improve at messing it up and cleaning it up better!" She is inspired by conscious leadership mentors and luminaries in her personal village of guides who champion the unique importance of the D.O.T. model in the world at large.
Ruth is a social scientist, organizational consultant, and innovator on conflict resiliency in community. She founded Figure It In, LLC in 2018 after successfully growing her first business― a full-time private therapy practice started in 2017 called Returning to Compassion Counseling, LLC. Ruth is bringing the D.O.T. model into organizational leadership and the technology field. In 2020, Ruth founded VR Create|Connect, which helped build a network of VR enthusiasts in collaborating on transformative and inclusive environments and events in social VR applications. Ruth has consulted with large and small tech companies including group creatures like Meta and informed on everything from marketing funnels, diversity-centering experiences, and landing community initiatives. Ruth is passionate about all technology mediums that help us become better versions of ourselves as humans individually and collectively.
